Why are Republicans still begging and trying to force Christie to run for President position?

When he does things that they so call claim to be against, like flying to his son's game in a tax payer trooper helicopter on non government business? Also, he's refusing to apologize for it, and gets seemingly very angry when questioned about it. Had he been a *"liberal/democrat"* they'd be on his back so hard that he would turn thin. It was reported that they are seriously still sweating Christie (who has said "no" a few times) to get into the GOP campaign pool. ( There was no pun on that, but wow, what a *splash* that would make).
