My agatha christie games have no text or dialogue in game?

When i play agatha christie games such as "murder n the orient express" and 'evil under the sun' no text shows up on screen, for example in "murder on the orient express" the menu comes up, i click new game and when the people start talking the dialogue box appears on screen but no words are in it and when i exit the game or go to the main menu a box appears but the words yes and no are not in it the same in evil under the sun
